MEET YOUR THERAPIST
Stacie Bateman, M.A., CCC-SLP
Welcome! I’m Stacie Bateman, the owner and lead therapist at Seashore Speech and Language in Newport Beach, CA. I bring over 2 decades of experience as a pediatric speech therapist along with advanced training in gestalt language processing and sensory integration to my practice. After earning my BA and MA in Speech Pathology from California State University, Chico, I worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient pediatrics, in-home early intervention, and private practice.
As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe, playful environment where every child feels their interests are valued and supported. My sessions are child-led and focused on connection, sensory needs, and meaningful communication. After completing the Sensory Integration Certification training at USC, I learned how to support children with sensory differences by helping them feel regulated and ready to explore communication. I’m also passionate about gestalt language processing and building authentic relationships with every child and family I work with.
As a mom, I’ve been on both sides of therapy. Navigating feeding difficulties with my son gave me a deep appreciation for the emotions, challenges, and victories families experience. It’s why I’m committed to listening to your concerns, celebrating your child’s progress, and providing practical tools to carry over at home. I strive to be a safe, authentic presence for your family and to make every session meaningful and fun.
When I’m not in the clinic, I love spending time with my husband, our three kids (ages 7–15), and our Golden Retriever, Gracie. I’m a Southern California native who loves the ocean, flip-flops, and walks along the beach. Traveling, brunch with friends, and connecting with others bring me joy, and I feel lucky to bring that same passion and curiosity into my work every day.
I can’t wait to meet you and your family!
